Kotawaringin Clean Water Program

1800 villagers reached

Across villages and schools in Kotawaringin Timur, Central Kalimantan, communities faced limited water supply especially during dry seasons. Through a CSR partnership with Wilmar Central Kalimantan, Wateroam reached approximately 1,880 people through hands-on filtration training and the distribution of portable water filters.

We distributed a mix of ROAMfilter™ Plus, ROAMfilter™ Mini, and Homefilter™ Plus units to ensure that we could respond to the varying site conditions and community needs.

Community Drinking Water Depots

 1700 people reached

In Banten Province, Indonesia, many communities already had boreholes, pumps, and water storage systems, but that did not always mean safe drinking water was consistently available. Wateroam partnered with Laz Harapan Dhuafa and Telkom Indonesia to support the DAM-BK project across a mosque, three Islamic boarding school sites, and one village community site, reaching 1,782 people in total. Five COMfilter Box units were deployed to upgrade existing clean water facilities into community-based drinking water depots that could serve more people safely and affordably.

Indonesia Community Development

50 people reached

BGBJ, WaterPlus and Wateroam have given clean water to an entire community in Bantar Gebang, Indonesia. Through installing our ROAMfilter™ Plus in a local school, teachers and educators can provide clean drinking water to their students every day. Additionally, families living near the school now have access to safe drinking water that they can bring home.  Roughly one in three people in Indonesia do not have access to safe drinking water, which decreases school attendance and education opportunities for children due to preventable illnesses. Together with Water Plus and BGBJ, we aim to provide thousands more within this province with clean potable water.

Lombok Earthquake Relief

2000 people reached

BGR International sent their Disaster Assessment Team to support the relief efforts after the devastating earthquakes in Lombok. Wateroam is glad to have the opportunity to provide clean water to the earthquake victims in collaboration with BGR International with four ROAMfilter™ Plus systems. As existing water sources and transport routes are disrupted and only contaminated water is available, our portable filtration systems were able to be quickly distributed and set up to support the relief effort. With the four units deployed, a total of 2000 people can be supported with 4800 liters of clean water produced daily. Due to the success of the operation, BGR International will continue to deploy another 38 more systems in the following two months.

Kalimantan Village School

1000 residents reached

Relief Singapore in collaboration with Wahana Visi Indonesia launched a successful water intervention mission to provide clean water for villages in Kuba Raya Regency in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. ROAMfilter™ Ultra systems were deployed in this mission to provide 24/7 access to clean water, improving the lives, living & livelihood of the villagers significantly.

Tanjung Pinang, Indonesia

150 residents reached

Wateroam’s first ROAMfilter™ Plus was deployed in Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam (STAI) Miftahul Ulum, a school cum orphanage located in Tanjung Pinang, Bintan, Indonesia. The main source of water for the orphanage is from a few wells located around the school. Partnering with Canact Asia, an education and training enterprise, Wateroam has since provided clean water for more than 150 of the residents staying in the orphanage.
