Our Impact

While we're thrilled to have impacted 500,000 lives, this is only the
start of our mission. There is still an urgent need for clean water
across the globe and we are constantly working to reach these communities.

Thoet Thai Village School
October 2025

Wateroam partnered with HITAP, the NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, and Thailand’s Department of Health to improve safe water access at the 87th Border Patrol Police School in Mae Fa Luang District, Chiang Rai.

Initial water assessments identified water safety concerns such as high E.coli risk and high turbidity in the school’s mountain stream water supply. Wateroam installed a COMfilter™ Plus system to help 140 students, 13 teachers, and more than 1,000 nearby villagers access clean water. Additionally, we trained a local team to regularly maintain the system.

Wateroam’s intervention helped restore reliable access to safer drinking water for students, staff, and the surrounding community, while also building local capacity for long-term system upkeep

Myanmar Community Developments
January 2021

Safe Water for Every Child Myanmar has successfully delivered and installed four ROAMfilter Plus systems to Karen communities in Myanmar. The filters were installed in the medical center or school of four Karen villages: Thu Nu Hset Lah (Middle School), Yee Kho Loh Der (Medical Center), Lu Thaw (Medical Center) and Htee Moo Khee (High School).

Due to strict Covid-19 restrictions, the completion of the project was delayed and we were unable to deploy the filters as soon as we hoped. However, over the months, our partner organisation worked tirelessly on the ground and our filters travelled long distances by plane, car, boat and on foot before reaching the remote communities that desperately need these life-saving essentials. With improved accessibility to clean water, we hope to continue to empower communities like these to fulfil their greatest potential.

Vanuatu Cyclone Harold Relief
April 2020

Wateroam partnered with Sea Mercy to provide relief efforts in Vanuatu following the devastating Category 5 Tropical Cyclone Harold, which caused extensive infrastructural damage and left 160,000 households deprived of food, shelter and clean water.

Sea Mercy deployed a total of 260 ROAMfilter Plus systems in provinces which suffered the worst impacts – Penama, Malampa and Sanma. The easy-to-use water filters were distributed to healthcare centres, community halls and other centralized locations where people could fill their buckets with drinking water.

Wateroam's life-saving water solution helped local villagers have easier access to safe and clean water without having to pour hours into travelling long distances to collect water.

Lombok Earthquake Relief
August 2018

BGR International sent their Disaster Assessment Team to support the relief efforts after the devastating earthquakes in Lombok. Wateroam provided clean water to the earthquake victims in collaboration with BGR International with four ROAMfilter™ Plus systems.

As existing water sources and transport routes are disrupted and only contaminated water is available, our portable filtration systems were able to be quickly distributed and set up to support the relief effort. With the four units deployed, a total of 2000 people can be supported with 4800 liters of clean water produced daily.

Due to the success of the operation, BGR International will continue to deploy another 38 more systems in the following two months.

Kalimantan Village School
June 2016

Relief Singapore in collaboration with Wahana Visi Indonesia launched a successful water intervention mission to provide clean water for villages in Kuba Raya Regency in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. ROAMfilter™ Ultra systems were deployed in this mission to provide 24/7 access to clean water, improving the lives, living & livelihood of the villagers significantly.
