We empower individuals to lead a healthy life so that they can achieve their dreams and ambitions without the distractions of physical ailments. By living in a clean environment, they grow in confidence from an improved quality of life. Through these positive changes, they can work more productively, increase their employability and have access to better livelihoods.
FOUNDED IN 2014:
Wateroam's three founders met as undergraduates at a water initiative programme in the National University of Singapore.
With a common passion to work for a greater good, they came together to build a water filtration system that can help rural communities with no access to clean water. They called it the Fieldtrate Lite - which is made up of a membrane filter fixed to the base of a lightweight plastic bag. Upon graduation, the trio realised that the Fieldtrate Lite was more than just a water project, but an innovation that could improve many lives globally. This realisation led to the birth of a professionally-run social enterprise that pursues and reaches communities deprived of clean water. Through stringent tests and research over the years, Wateroam has produced new iterations of award-winning, patented water filtration systems - the ROAMfilter™ Plus and ROAMfilter™ Ultra. Both are designed for maximum filtration speed and quality, catered specifically for the needs of rural and disaster-hit areas.
In light of existing water issues in rural communities and increasing natural disasters globally, the heart of Wateroam is to help all of society get water where it is most needed. We are constantly working to eradicate death by thirst and unsafe water consumption by expanding our reach to communities in need.

Our logo incorporates a circular globe with the impression of a water droplet. We seek to convey the message that Wateroam is working on a global water agenda that sends clean water to provide every individual with life, and the hope of a better tomorrow.
